Hello again, apologies for the time lapse since the last blog – it’s been a mental start to the season. I last left you with the downfall of some lovely white powder yet that was nothing compared to what ensued. We’ve had storms, power-cuts, blizzard like winds, traffic jams, cars all over the place, trees [...]

Meet the Staff
Becca Jones – Apparently I’m the boss?? Four seasons and counting in a brilliant bar, in an amazing resort with an endless supply of Vin chaud. Life’s pretty good at the minute.
Calamity James – a snapped ski pole, a broken lock and several clouts to Becca’s head in a matter of two days. I think we might have to replace a few glasses with James working this season.
Alice Beer aka A Beer – Rather confusing working in a bar. She definitely intends to soak up as much of the French culture as possible this season….
Paige – Our honorary Frenchie. If she’s not surfing the snow she’ll be surfing the waves and jamming on her guitar. Our very own bleach blonde surfer chick!
Byron – Our only returner from last year, Byron is definitely well seasoned by now. He’s spent his summer willing the winter to arrive, now it’s here it’s game on!!
Geoff – Marine Biologist by day. Shark by night!! Season numero uno has gotten off to a cracking start. Long may it continue.
Rich – In the West Country born and raised, driving tractors is how I spent most of my days…..our resident wannabe rude boy. He’s actually a pretty nice guy to be honest!

About Us
We’re a…
Coffee sipping
Mutzig slurping
Nacho munching
Ski-boot dancing
Late night buzzing
…. kind of a place!
Our days start early for the pre-ski caffeine kick. We’re open from 8 and we serve Lavazza coffee, however you like it. Grab one of our papers and make yourself at home on the comfy seats…
If you wander in at lunchtime you’ll find our lovely staff slaving over the panini machine, making cheap and cheerful lunches for skiers who are way too dedicated to be sitting down to 3 courses, thank you very much. But if you’ve got time for a drink as well, you must try the infamous ‘mutzig’.Yes, it’s an extremely popular brew with the locals but bear in mind that at 6.9% it has the potentialto erase your memories of the afternoon!!
How’s the weather? Sunny? Grab a long, cold beer. Baltic? Come in and warm your cockles on our homemade vin chaud or try one of our legendary hot chocolates (baileys/amaretto/whisky is optional but very, very tempting…)
Staying for another? The friendly faces behind the bar will happily knock up whatever concoction floats your boat. They’ll play you at table football as well if you like, but they do get a lot of practice so don’t bet your skis on a win! If that sounds a bit like too much exercise then kick back on our sofas and natter over some nachos, although when the band comes on we like you all to get involved with a bit of dancing – the more the merrier and all that…
And on into the night… We’re open til 1am and there are various forms of entertainment throughout the week from pub quizzes to fancy dress. Have a look at our calendar and see what tickles your fancy. Come and join us, we’ll be ready and waiting!
Find us at the bottom right of the slopes in Courchevel 1650, or turn right at the bottom of the escalator and keep walking til you see us – ask anyone to point you in the right direction. See you there!
